Stephen Moir has been working in executive white-collar recruitment for 17 years, and also speaks at forums and lectures at Sydney University on career-related issues.
With an Honours degree in Politics and Economics from Hull University in the UK, Stephen joined Michael Page Recruitment in 1990, working for five years in their UK offices before being transferred to manage the temporary and contracting business of Michael Page Finance in Melbourne.
He was subsequently promoted to manage Michael Page Finance in Victoria, then appointed a Director of Michael Page Finance and Legal in Victoria. In 2001 he established Michael Page Sales and Marketing and Technology, in Parramatta. Later that year he was appointed a Director of Michael Page Finance for New South Wales, then Managing Director in 2002, with overall responsibility for Michael Page International's operations in Australia.
Stephen left Michael Page in 2006 and established his own executive recruitment and learning business, Moir Group. This business specializes in the recruitment of mid to senior level accounting and finance professionals in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as training on recruitment and staff retention related issues at Sydney University and directly for corporates.
He is passionate about the value a good recruitment firm can add to organizations and to individuals lives and has established his own business to put this into practice. It is therefore focused on cultural fit, service and sourcing the right people.
